The 19th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) took place at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday. Chennai won the match by beating Bangalore by 69 runs. Chasing a 192-run target, RCB managed to score 122 for nine in 20 overs. Ravindra Jadeja made an all-round appearance on behalf of Chennai. He took three wickets for Bangalore, scoring 62 not out in the first innings. Earlier, Chennai batted first and scored 191 runs and lost four wickets in 20 overs. Harshal Patel took 3 wickets for RCB. With this, the CSK point has reached the top of the table. RCB have reached second place with their first defeat of the season.
Virat Kohli and Devadath Padikal set out to chase down the 192-run target for RCB. But both returned to the pavilion on the powerplay. Devadath Padikkal scored 34 off 15 balls with four boundaries and two sixes but Kohli did not look good. Mahendra Singh Dhoni caught Sam Curren in his slow delivery. Kohli scored just 8 runs. After this, Padikkal lost the wicket in an attempt to pull the ball to Shardul Thakur. Despite this, the RCB managed to score 65 for two in the powerplay but Ravindra Jadeja caught the ball and sent the pavilions in consecutive overs to Washington Sundar (seven off 11 balls) and Glenn Maxwell (22 off 15 balls). Maxwell bowled in an attempt to play a long shot.

Jadeja then kicked out Don Christian (1) and edged AB De Villiers (four) with his queue, shaking the stump of his leg. This ensured CSK’s victory. Yuvvendra Chahal (eight not out off 21 balls) and Mohammad Siraj (12 not out off 14 balls) managed to score 20 overs in total. Earlier, after Dhoni’s decision to bat first after winning the toss, Duplessis backed up Gaekwad as he sampled his magnificent drive. Chail (one for 24) broke the partnership with Kaik Jamison catching Gaikwad on his leg break. Suresh Raina (24 off 18 balls) hit Chahal with a superb six off Long on the ground and then Washington Sundar and Navdeep Saini showed a long shot.
Prior to that, CSK took 191 for four and shared 74 runs with Faf Duplessis (50 off 41 balls, five fours, one six) and Ruturaj Gaikwad (33 off 25 balls). Kohli made frequent changes bowling and Patel with a slow delivery sent Raina and Duplessis to CSK on the back foot. Raina attempted a long shot at midwicket but Duplessis hit the boundary on the next delivery. His catch was caught by Don Christian beautifully but he brought Jadeja to life, which was expensive. Patel scored his third wicket for Ambati Rayudu (14 off seven balls).
Jadeja created history by embarrassing documentary in the name of Harshal Patel
Jadeja scored an unbeaten 62 off 28 balls with four fours and five sixes, his highest score in T20. Jadeja hit five boundaries and one boundary in Herschel Patel’s over in the 20th over. Nobol was among them. A total of 37 runs were scored in this over, making it the joint most expensive overs in IPL history. Patel gave away just 14 runs in the first three overs, but his bowling analysis at the end gave him three wickets for 51 runs. Dhoni remained unbeaten after scoring two runs.
