IPL 2021: Despite locks in Maharashtra, matches in Mumbai have no effect.

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has reiterated that the activities of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will not be affected despite the recent orders of the government to stop the spread of the Kovid-19 virus in the state. The Maharashtra government has ordered a partial lock in the state on Sunday evening. Then came the clarification from the MCA about the matches to be played in Mumbai in IPL 2021. The IPL will start from April 9.

According to the Cricbuzz report, an MCA official told us that we had received a call from the city municipal commissioner. The association was assured that the lockdown actions would not affect IPL matches. However, other cricketing activities need to be stopped immediately. The MCA official has confirmed that IPL teams can continue to practice normally. An MCA official said any cricket activity that is part of a biological bubble would be allowed non-stop.

After a Cabinet meeting on Sunday afternoon, the Maharashtra government announced a complete lockdown over the weekend. On weekends, there will be a strict lockdown in Maharashtra from 8 am to 7 pm Monday to Friday, with a night curfew from 8 am to 7 pm Monday to Friday. Mumbai will host 10 matches in the IPL. Some of it is on the weekends too.

The match between Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals on April 10 (Saturday). The IPL matches will be held in Mumbai from April 10-24. Six IPL teams will face Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capital, Punjab Kings, Royals Challengers Bangalore, Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders at Wankhede Stadium.
