IPL 2021: Iyer or Pant? The needles of the Delhi Capitals stuck for leadership

The second edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 will be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 19. Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings have arrived in the UAE, while the Delhi Capitals will move there on Saturday (August 21). In the first stage, the captain of the Delhi Capitals was Rishabh Pant, while Shreyas Iyer was away from the cricket field due to injury. Iyer is now healthy and will play for the Delhi Capitals in the second leg of the IPL 2021. Iyer’s return has also added to the headache of this franchise team. Will the pant leadership continue in the remaining matches of IPL 2021 or will Iyer withdraw the captaincy? There is an ongoing debate on this.

In fact, under Iyer’s leadership, Delhi Capital’s runner-up in the 2020 IPL, under the leadership of Pant, the team is currently at the top of the points table. A Delhi Capitals official told ANI, “The Delhi Capitals team will leave for UAE on Saturday. Domestic players and officials will leave for Delhi.

This officer said, ‘No decision has been made yet on the leadership. The Pant or Iyer take the lead. The team management has not taken any decision on this. The second leg of the IPL 2021 will kick off on September 19 with a match between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. In the second leg of the IPL 2021, 13 matches will be played in Dubai, 10 in Sharjah and 8 in Abu Dhabi.
