IPL 2021, KKR vs. RCB: Royal Challengers Bangalore team with only three foreign players, Venkatesh Prasad

Royal Challengers Bangalore clash with Kolkata Knight Riders in the 10th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL). RCB captain Virat Kohli has decided to bat first. Glenn Maxwell and Devadath Padikkal took over Bangalore’s innings after initially losing their wickets to captain Virat and Rajat Patidar. In this match against KKR, the RCB is down with only 3 foreign players. Former India fast bowler Venkatesh Prasad has been particularly vocal about Kohli’s decision.

Venkatesh Prasad shared a photo on Twitter after he saw three players playing XI in Royal Challengers Bangalore, writing: ‘When the IPL is on and you don’t feel the need for 4 foreign players’. It is rarely seen in Indian Premier League history when a team drops to less than 4 foreign players. The RCB has included Rajat Patidar in eleven to replace Don Christian. However, Rajat could not do anything with the bat and Varun Chakravarti bowled for just 1 run.

Bangalore won the toss and started to bat first and KKR’s spin bowler Varun Chakravarty gave Virat Kohli and Rajat the lead in the second over of the innings. Kohli got a spectacular catch after running back 6 and Rahul Tripathi. Kolkata Knight Riders have not made any changes in their eleven matches. RCB have won both of their matches so far.
