Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) set a target of 150 runs for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the sixth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. SRH scored 96 for one wicket in 13.1 overs at a match at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium. SRH seemed to win the match easily. Captain David Warner was in the crease after scoring 54 off 36 balls. He was caught by Kyle Jamison to Daniel Christian and from here the SRH innings began to decline. After this defeat, Captain Warner said it was very difficult to digest.

After the match, Warner said, “Glenn Maxwell batted well for RCB but our bowlers performed well. We could not form a partnership. “He was disgusted with his batsmen. He said,” I am very disappointed to not have kept the bat straight and played shots against left-arm spinners. He said, ‘We have three more games to play here and the wicket is expected to be good. We try to get wickets on powerplay and build a bigger partnership.

SRH won the toss and decided to bowl first against the RCB. RCB were 149 for 8 in 20 overs. In response, SRH was able to score only 143 for 9 in 20 overs and lost the match by six runs. Maxwell scored 59 off 41 balls and was named Man of the Match. RCB bowler Shahbaz Ahmed dismissed RCB for the same over, dismissing Johnny Bairstow, Manish Pandey and Abdul Samad in the same over.
