Indian Premier League team Delhi Capitals (DC) has appointed Colonel Vinod Bisht as its Provisional Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on Saturday. Bisht, who has been a paratrooper in the Indian Army for more than two decades, will take on the immediate responsibility. He will replace Dheeraj Malhotra, who has been in the post for two years. Malhotra stepped down from the Delhi capital after the appointment of BCCI (India Cricket Board) as the new General Manager to replace Saba Karim for Sports Development.
Kiran Kumar Grandi, president of Delhi Capital, speaking to the media on the occasion, said, “I thank Dheeraj for giving us his time and effort for our franchise” and endurance is an important part of it. All of us in the franchise wish them well for the future.

The Delhi Capitals entered the final of the IPL 2020 final played in the UAE. The team was unlucky and missed the title. Mumbai Indians beat Delhi by five wickets in the final.
In the final, the Delhi Capitals batted first, scoring 156 runs, losing 7 wickets in 20 overs with the help of Shreyas Iyer (65 not out) and Rishabh Pant (56). Chasing a target of 157, the Mumbai Indians batsmen were unstoppable and the team managed an easy win in 18.4 overs with the help of Rohit Sharma (68) and Ishan Kishan (33 not out).
