Isn’t Karachi Bakery closed due to MNS? People said – the party takes an empty loan

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leader Haji Saif Sheikh issued a legal notice to the owners of Mumbai’s Karachi Bakery in November demanding the removal of “Karachi” from the shop’s name. MNS has now enjoyed the success of closing its store, though this claim has been denied by others on social media.

On March 1, Sheikh said on Twitter, “After MNS had a huge protest over the Karachi bakery named Karachi, Karachi Bakery has finally closed its only store in Mumbai.” A Twitter handle called the Mumbai North Central District Forum denied the claim and said the bakery had closed its shop due to lack of business. He wrote – “You’re spreading false information! Karachi Bakery closed its shop not because of a lack of business and because of Haji Saif. It is a failed attempt to mislead the citizens. Please note!”

MNS leaders staged a protest in November in front of a shop in Bandra and said the store’s signboard should also be in Marathi. In response to a legal notice, the bakery owner at the time said the name would not hurt Indians’ feelings. “It is wrong to say that bakery owners are disrespectful of the sacrifices of our soldiers. The bakery is always Indian and will continue. Therefore, questioning the loyalty of my customers to India is every allegation wrong and unfair.”
