After completing the 26-hour countdown, the PSLV-C-51 flew from the Satish Dhawan space station’s first launch pad, about 100 km from Chennai, at around 10.24 am. ISRO PSLV-C51 successfully orbited 18 other satellites. If the primary satellite was able to put Amazonia-1 in orbit approximately 18 minutes after launch, the other 18 satellites took two hours to reach orbit.
These satellites include Chennai’s Space Kidz India (SKI) satellite. The image of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is engraved on the spacecraft. The SKI expressed solidarity and gratitude for the Prime Minister’s self-reliance initiative and space privatization. Moreover, through these satellites, SKI is sending the Bhagavad Gita to the SKI SD (Secure Digital) card in space.
