James Anderson made history, taking 1000 wickets in first class cricket

James Anderson, England’s legendary fast bowler, has taken 1000 first-class wickets in county cricket. Anderson is the 14th player to score 1,000 wickets in first-class cricket this century, and the fifth fastest bowler after Andy Caddick (2005), Martin Bicknell (2004), Devon Malcolm (2002) and Wasim Akram (2001). Huh. He did this against Kent while playing for Lancashire. Anderson took 7 for 19 in 10 overs.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) also congratulated him on this special achievement. The ICC shared a photo of it and wrote in its caption, ‘Great achievement’.

Anderson is currently preparing for a five-match Test series against India. The series between the two countries will begin on August 4. Following the Test series against India, England will play the Ashes series against Australia at the end of this year, in which Anderson’s role is crucial.
