Kia Sonnet and Kia Celltos have been launched in a new avatar, priced at Rs 6.79 lakh

Kia India has released an updated incarnation of its Kia Sonnet and Kia Cellos vehicles. Similarly, the base model of Celltos (1.5-liter petrol HTE 6 MT) is priced at Rs 9.95 lakh. And the top model (1.5-liter CRD Diesel GTX + 6 AT) is priced at Rs 17.65 lakh.

Considering current demand from customers, the company has introduced yet another premium variant of the 2021 Celltos – the 1.4T-GDI petrol GTX (O). Similarly, Sonnet’s most popular HTX trim is now available with the automatic option – the HTX 7 DCT (1.0-liter T-GDI petrol) and the HTX 6 AT (1.5-liter diesel).

New features of the 2021 Celltos SUV

In 2021, Kia Celltos has introduced 17 new features, including ‘virus and bacteria’ protection, the first in-segment smart clean air purification, remote engine launch in manual transmission, wireless phone projection on the car’s touch screen, and on air (OTA). Kia Sonnet 2021 has been updated with 10 new features, including the first new segment’s front door sunshade curtains, sunroof open and the first in-segment voice command for Close. Kia has introduced features such as Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Brake Assist (BA) and Hill Assist Control (HAC) to the lower variants of the Sub Compact SUV. Sonnet gets a new engine option

There is no change in the Kia Celto’s engine. It is equipped with a 1.5-liter SmartStream petrol, a 1.4-liter SmartStream T-GDI petrol and a 1.5-liter CRD VGT diesel engine. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual, Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT), 6-speed torque converter, 7-speed DCT automatic and 6-speed IMT (Intelligent Manual Transmission). On the other hand, the Sonnet will come with a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine. In addition, the 1.0-liter turbo T-GD petrol and 1.5-liter diesel engines are offered. Transmission options for the Sonnet include a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed IMT, a 6-speed torque converter and a 7-speed DCT automatic.
