Kovid-19: CM Kejriwal informed that all classes in Delhi schools are closed till further order

In view of the rapidly growing COVID-19 cases in the capital Delhi, all classes of private and government schools in Delhi have been closed until further orders, all classes have been discontinued. In addition, all types of academic and exam related activities for students from 9 to 12 are canceled. By 9 pm there were already classes online.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted, “Due to the increasing number of Kovid cases, all Delhi schools (including government, private) are being closed to all classes till the next order.”

According to the order previously issued, students in grades 9, 10, 11 and 12 of the 2020-21 academic session will be allowed for exams, practicals, project work and internal assessment related work with parental approval from February 5 to come to school. All teachers and students attending school were told to apply masks, social distance, and follow the Kovid-19 protocol.

On Thursday, the total number of cases of infection rose to 6,98,005. So far, 6.63 lakh patients have recovered from the virus.

According to the Health Bulletin, 24 people have died from the disease, with the death toll rising to 11,157. The number of active patients in Delhi has risen to 23,181 from 19,455 the previous day. The bulletin said the number of people living in homelessness rose to 11,367 from 10,048 on Wednesday, but the number of container zones rose to 4,226 from 3,708 a day earlier.
