Live: Ghazipur border picket increased, protesters take over again

Despite the final decision by the Ghaziabad administration to vacate the picket space on the Ghazipur border, farmers’ demonstrations have continued. Hundreds of farmers were standing on the Delhi-Meerut Express Highway on Friday and the farmers kept coming. The number of people gathered here has increased overnight. At the same time, a large number of farmers from Meerut, Bagapat, Bijnor, Muzaffarnagar, Moradabad and Bulandshahr districts of western Uttar Pradesh reached UP Gate early Friday morning. Sisodia said that the Delhi government is with the farmers and will not cause any distress to the farmers sitting on the Gazipur border. Sardar and the peasantry are being flown at the behest of some capitalists, he said. There is no water problem on the Gazipur border.

Manish Sisodia said the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh on the Gazipur border has stopped farmers’ electricity and water. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal immediately ordered and provided electricity and water to the farmers. Rakesh Tikite requested the Chief Minister to provide water and other basic amenities to the farmers. It was arranged at night as instructed by the CM.
