Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra has written to Delhi Police about three armed officers stationed outside the house. TMC MP Mahua Moitra told Delhi Police that we have not sought any protection. According to news agency ANI, the matter was announced on Saturday.
According to the ANI, Mohitra has appealed to the Delhi Police to remove him. The NHI quoted Mahua Moitra as saying that it seems that I am under some kind of surveillance. On Friday, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLAs Nishikant Dubey and PP Chaudhary filed a privilege notice against Moitra in the Lok Sabha for his speech in the House.
In a letter to the President’s Speech on Thanksgiving on February 8, Moitra had made a false statement regarding the performance of her duties against former Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi. The letter stated that Article 121 does not permit a debate in Parliament regarding the conduct of Supreme Court and High Court judges in relation to the performance of their duties.
When I see this speech by Mahua Moitra, let me know that it has become viral in social media as well. During his speech, Moitra made serious allegations referring to former Chief Justices without naming anyone. His statements to the judiciary were later dropped from trial.
Referring to the protests against the Peasant Movement and the Citizenship Amendment Act, Mahua Moitra, in his speech, questioned the state of democracy and accused the country of being in an ‘unannounced state of emergency’.
