Hannur: In recent years, the income of the temple of Male Mahadeshwarabetta increased. However, the government has not given much attention to the development of the Madapappan hill road, which has caused devastation among the devotees.
The District Superintendent of Police, S. Sureshkumar, said in a meeting of the hill authority that the patchwork would be taken up for the development of the road. Along with this, the road to the hill is guaranteed to have no future.
It is about 80 km from the town of Kallegala to Male Mahadeshwara. There is a gap of Rs 108 crore for the road to Hunur. The cost-effective work has begun. However, the condition of the road from Talabbetta to Malay Mahadeswarabetta is miserable. It is therefore not beneficial to simply do a patching job. A couple are worried that another rain will start to rain.
Traffic jam
The road from Talu hill to Mahadeswara hill has not been widened since the day it was built. The number of vehicles alone is a hundred times higher. At certain turns, motorists have to move with anxiety. There are fears that the security barrier will collapse. The Rangaswamy embankment, the road from the elephant’s head to the river, is a traffic jam during the Jatra, but is a two to three hour road bundle.

It is not known when and how the hill passes from Talu hill to Mahadeshwara hill.
Temple development
Male Mahadeshwara too has been developing from year to year as a separate authority was formed. More benefits are being made to the people who travel. The basic amenities are adequate. Other benefits are being provided to devotees, including the Dosha system.
But the same devotees have to go up the hill without a standard and safe road to get to the hill.
There are no instances where the Mahadeswara hill road was once fully developed. The prospect of another full-scale development is falsified.
Male Mahadeshwarabetta road is in a bad condition. Maheshwara Hill Road, one of the highest incomes in the state, has reached a state of disrepair.

It is our desire to be a good road from Talabetta to Malay Mahadeswara. However, no grants are available from the government. Instead the button is closed to close. I demand that they discuss this at the government level and take full action.
