West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has assaulted the wife of brother-in-law Abhishek Banerjee in connection with a coal scam case. She said she is not afraid of any kind of threat as long as there is life inside her. “Don’t try to intimidate us out of jail. We have guns and we are not afraid to fight rats,” said Mamata Banerjee. There will be only one game in 2021 and in that game I want to be the goalkeeper and see who wins and who loses.
After receiving notice from his wife, MP Abhishek Banerjee said, “At two o’clock this afternoon, the CBI filed a notice in the name of my wife. We have complete faith in the law. However, if they think we can be intimidated by such tactics, they are wrong. We are not the ones who can be suppressed. Banerjee also shared a picture of the CBI notice with his tweet.
The CBI team has handed over a notice issued to Abhishek’s wife Rujeera Banerjee on behalf of Umesh Kumar, additional police officer of the CBI, in connection with the coal theft case by Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL) in West Bengal. Anoop Manihi is said to be the mastermind of the case. In a notice issued on Sunday, Rujira was asked to attend his address at Harish Mukherjee Road to answer some questions related to the case. The Trinamool Congress and the BJP are targeting each other for CBI action.
