Mamata’s troubles averted? Shatabdi Roy meets Abhishek Banerjee – Delhi is not leaving, stays at TMC

Just months before the West Bengal assembly elections, Trinamool Congress (TeamAC) chief and state chief minister Mamata Banerjee is getting a shot after one. Shortly thereafter, several questions were raised about Birbhum’s TeamAC MP Shatabdi Roy after several leaders expressed their displeasure after leaving the party. But after Abhishek Banerjee’s visit, the clouds of crisis are getting away. Shatabdi Roy and Abhishek Banerjee held talks for several hours on Friday, after which Roy said he was not leaving the party.

Talking to reporters after meeting Abhishek Banerjee, Shatabdi Roy said, “I will not go to Delhi tomorrow. I will be with the Trinamool Congress and move on.” Mamata Banerjee used to call me early and go whenever I call. But my problem is where my voter is, not meeting him.

Asked by many TMC leaders, including a former bureaucrat who left the party, MPs said that if anyone raised the question, it would be their problem, but if ten people asked questions, surely something would happen. The party must address these issues. Earlier, Trinamool Congress spokesperson Kunal Ghosh met Roy for about an hour at his residence in South Kolkata on Friday afternoon.

BJP leader Mukul Roy contacted Shatabdi
Spokeswoman Kunal Ghosh, while leaving his residence after meeting Roy, said Shatabdi was an old friend. I came to meet my friend. I know BJP leader Mukul Roy has contacted him and asked him to meet him tomorrow during his Delhi visit. At the same time, Trinamool Congress senior leader and Dum Dum MP Saugata Rai said the party would try to address their grievances and resolve the issues.

‘Troubled without talking about party programs’
The whole affair started when Shatabdi Roy said in a Facebook post that he was not informed about the party’s activities in his parliamentary constituency and that he was suffering from mental anguish. Birbhum’s three-time MP Roy has said that if he takes the decision, he will inform the people at 2 pm on Saturday. This post caused uproar at TMC. According to party sources, Roy has disagreed with Birbhum district TMC chief Anuvrat Mandal. Roy wrote in a Facebook post on his fan club page: But lately, many have asked me why I am missing from various party events. I would like to say that I want to participate in all the programs but I am not informed about the party programs organized in my parliamentary constituency so how can I participate. It made me sad. ”

Shatabdi Roy is an actress
After a successful career in the Bangla film industry, Roy entered politics in the last years of the Left Front government in the state. Roy won the 2009 Trinamool Congress ticket from Birbhum. He won this position in 2014 and 2019. Apart from Roy, another senior leader of the TMC and Minister of State, Rajiv Banerjee, said in a social media post that he would be notified about his next move via Facebook Live on Saturday afternoon. Banerjee has also stayed away from the party. At the same time, it was learned that Shah’s rally in Madinapuram on December 19 saw the Trinamool Congress’s well-wisher and 35 other party leaders joining the BJP. Out of these 35 leaders belonging to BJP, five are MLAs and MPs.
