Mandi Price: Mustard Rs. 8300 per quintal and cotton seed Rs.

Various edible oil prices, including mustard, soybean, groundnut and CPO, registered a correction amid heavy trends in overseas markets on Monday for the local oil-and-oil market. Due to the off-season and increased demand for cottonseed in Gujarat, perhaps for the first time, the price of processed cotton seed is around Rs 5 per kg above groundnut. At the same time, Soyabean processed and palm oil prices in Indore’s edible oil market on Monday rose to Rs. Soybean oils were a record-breaking sell.

Mustard seed sprouted in Kota, Saloni and Agra

The arrival of mustard in the country’s mandi on Monday has increased significantly as farmers continue to sell at higher prices, sources said. In general, the arrival of about two lakh bags in Mandis has increased to about three and a half lakh bags. He said the price of mustard seeds in Kota, Saloni and Agra rose from Rs 8,200 to Rs 8,300 per quintal.

Due to seasonal demand from Gujarat, the price of cottonseed oil (crude oil) has increased by about Rs 5 per kg to the ground. So far the price of cotton seed has been lower than that of peanuts. Although groundnut oil can be used immediately as mustard, cotton seed needs to be refined. In addition to cottonseed oil, there has been considerable correction in CPO and Palmolin oil prices due to increase in demand, sources said.
