Market Price: edible oils, mustard, crude ore Rs 2,680 tin, gram barley, moong, urad

On Tuesday, prices of all edible oils, including mustard, soybean oil, oilseeds and CPO oil, rose in the local oil-and-oil market, due to heavy trend and festive demand in overseas markets. The plant price of soybean seeds in Latur, Maharashtra, has been increased from Rs 8,300 per quintal to Rs 8,450 per quintal. Goods and Services Tax (GST) will be levied separately.

In the wake of rising local demand, the government should ban the export of soybean oil-free aux (DOC), sources said. It is noteworthy that 60-70 percent of the grinding mills are closed due to lack of good soybean grain. These plants are able to run their plant for 5-10 days a month by collecting materials anyway. Sources said cotton seed has improved due to the increase in demand, but the price of groundnut oilseeds remains unchanged among the general business. CPO and Palmolin oil prices have closed higher on demand and on the improvement of edible oil prices overseas.
