Due to weak demand, prices of almost all oilseeds fell on the local oilseeds market on Wednesday. According to market sources, Malaysia Exchange lost 1.5 percent, while the Chicago Exchange rose 1.5 percent. This had an impact on local business. He said the price of groundnut oil and oilseeds remained unchanged amid a general slowdown.

He said there was such a debate in the oil business and that the government would set a stock limit on oilseeds such as pulses. He said there was no justification for the move as it was not with soybean farmers or traders. Everyone pulled out their goods because there was a high price in the market. Merchants do not have mustard inventory, but crushing mills must have a limited quantity of mustard. Farmers have little mustard inventory, but the ‘stock limit’ does not apply to them. Farmers are bringing their goods to their knees.
