All oil and oilseed prices, including mustard, soybean and CPO, improved last week in global oil and oil markets due to increased global markets and exports and local demand, but palmolin Delhi was affected by the lockdown. Peanut oil – Oil prices fell due to a drop in purchasing power.
The price of mustard seeds rose to Rs 7,210-7,260 per quintal last week, from Rs 7,000-7,100 per quintal the previous weekend. Mustard oil also rose from Rs 350 to Rs 14,850 per quintal. Mustard Paki Ghani and Kachi Ghani Tins closed at Rs 2,240-2,320 and Rs 2,420-2,450 per tin respectively, with a correction of Rs 35-35 per weekend.
The price of soybean oil-oilseed goes up
In overseas trends, there is a greater demand for soybean oil-free khal from abroad than local poultry companies, which has improved the price of soybean oil-oilseed. Soybean Dana and Loose closed at Rs 7,650-7,750 and Rs 7,450-7,550 per quintal, showing an improvement of Rs 450 and 350 respectively. Soybean Delhi, Indore and Soyabean Digam are trading at Rs 15,300, 15,050 and 14,150 per quintal, respectively at Rs 100, 250 and Rs 200 per quintal.
