Maruti Suzuki brings 4 new powerful SUVs from Hyundai Creta to Celltos

Demand for sport utility vehicles is growing rapidly in the Indian market. Due to its attractive sporty looks, strong performance and good mileage, people are showing their interest in this segment. The country’s largest car maker Maruti Suzuki is now preparing to introduce some new SUVs to the domestic market. So let’s learn about the company’s upcoming SUV vehicles –

1) – Maruti Brenda: The company launched its new SUV Vitara Brezza new facelift with the petrol engine earlier this year. At the same time, its diesel variant was discontinued. It is reported that the company will soon launch the next generation model Maruti Bresa. It is believed that the company will build it on its new Hertech platform, as well as offer new connectivity features.

As for the engine, the new Maruti Bresa may include a 1.5 liter petrol and diesel engine. However, the company disconnected the diesel engine model due to the implementation of the new emissions standard. But recent reports suggest the company’s new 1.5-liter diesel engine is fully ready, and could be used in the company’s newer models.

2) – Maruti Suzuki Jiminy: The company’s new SUV Gimney is also set to be launched. The company introduced its three-door version at the previous Auto Expo. Recently, a three-door version of it has also been exported. But in the market here, the company will be releasing the 5 Door Edition which will be sold by Nexa dealers.

The new SUV is based on the Jimmy Sierra, available in the global market with the most advanced features and technology. It produces 103bhp of torque and 138Nm of torque. Furthermore, the four-wheel drive system can be offered as standard.

3) – Maruti Crossover: The company is working on a crossover model for the domestic market. It could be launched as a rival of the Tata Nexon. This upcoming crossover model codenamed ‘YTB’. It is based on Maruti Baleno. The company can use the 1.2-liter Dualjet petrol engine, along with a hybrid system.

4) – Maruti’s new SUV: Maruti Suzuki is preparing to introduce the model in the mid-size SUV segment. It will compete mainly in the SUV market with models such as the Hyundai Creta and the Kia Cellos. There are reports that the new SUV will be the result of the Suzuki and Toyota deal and will be built on Toyota’s DNGA platform. Let us tell you that Toyota Rise and Rocky are built on this platform. The company can use the 1.5 liter capacity K15B petrol engine in this SUV.
