Mehbooba Mufti said the BJP was attacking the BJP – considering the Jammu and Kashmir as a ‘political laboratory’.

Former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti has alleged that the central government led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has “torn down the constitution” and claims that the BJP is treating Jammu and Kashmir as a “political laboratory”. She sees that Mufti will never make the BJP his ally, which means he will never ally with it.

Mufti acknowledged that his father’s intention was to form an alliance between the People’s Democratic Party and the BJP. He says, “Connecting with the BJP is a big reason for my father (Mufti Mohammed Saeed), and I respect that. Mufti said in an interview with Hindustan Times that this is not the case.”

He suggested that he had doubts about the alliance. He said, “My father had a political vision not only for Jammu and Kashmir but also for the country. She allied herself with the BJP, including her credibility, only to find out what we already have – to find our special situation and to find a peaceful and dignified solution to the Kashmir problem… Although I am not a huge fan of the BJP, I could not move away from her decision. ”

Alleging that the BJP is looking at everything through the prism of “electoral gain”, he said, “The party has no vision and must make decisions. It has to do with the country’s resolve. Became a practical laboratory ”.

In June 2018, the alliance between the two parties broke up. It was followed by the presidency of Jammu and Kashmir, until August 2019, when Parliament passed legislation and resolutions that ended the special status of the region and divided it into two Union Territories. Mehbooba Mufti himself had been in custody for almost 14 months between August 5, 2019 and October 13, 2020.
