Minister of Education Nishank launched a meaningful plan to help states implement the new policy

Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriel Nishank on Thursday called for ‘comprehensive development of students and teachers through quality education’ to support states and Union Territories in achieving the goals and objectives of the new National Education Policy. The ‘Sarthak’ project has been prepared by the Department of School Education and Literacy of the Ministry of Education. According to the Ministry of Education, Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government has prepared a one-year action plan for a new national education policy. States have the opportunity to make changes and take care of their local needs.

The Sarthak Plan is prepared based on extensive consultations with the States, Union Territories, Autonomous Institutions and all parties. About 7177 suggestions have been received in this regard.

Nishank said that under the Sarthak project, tasks and activities are defined in a way that refers to goals, outcomes and timelines. In it, the recommendations of the National Education Policy are combined with 297 works and are also assigned to responsible agencies and time. 304 results are scheduled for these works.
