England all-rounder Moeen Ali will appear in ‘The Hundred’ in the middle of the second and third Tests against India. Ali appears as the leader of his team’s ‘Birmingham Phoenix’ team. The finale of ‘The Hundred’ will be held on Saturday 21st August. Ali will also join the England Test team on Sunday 22 August, as Ali is also part of the England squad for the Test series against India.

Before joining England against India, Ali scored 189 and took 4 wickets as captain of the Phoenix team. The selectors turned to Moeen to compensate for the lack of a spin bowling all-rounder in England. In Ali’s absence, Liam Livingstone took control of the team. Phoenix managed to reach the final by scoring an unbeaten 92 in the previous match.
