Gujarati actor-turned-politician Naresh Kanodia died on October 27, 2020 at the UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Center, Ahmedabad. He was being treated in hospital after being tested positive for COVID-19 on October 20. He was 77 at the time of the absorption. Mahesh Kumar Kanodia passed away at the age of 83. In fact, just two days ago, Naresh Kanodia’s brother Mahesh Kanodia also passed away. He was 83 years old and suffering from age-related chronic disease. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken to Twitter to condole the sibling’s death.

Both Mahesh and Naresh Kanodia entered politics after enjoying stardom in the Gujarati film industry and had success there. Naresh won the BJP seat in Patan, Gujarat, while Mahesh was a five-time BJP MP from Gujarat. The brothers who ran the successful orchestra Mahesh-Naresh and the party were known as the Mahesh-Naresh duo in the Gujarati film industry.
