Congress has recruited a man named Babulal Chaurasia, who was involved in the installation of a statue of Mahatma Gandhi’s murderer Nathuram Godse. Babulal Chaurasia joined the party on Wednesday in the presence of former Madhya Pradesh CM Kamal Nath. Babulal Chaurasia was present at the installation of a statue of Nathuram Godse in Gwalior in 2017. Babulal Chaurasia, who joined Congress, said: ‘I am a congressman by birth. I left the Congress when the party did not issue a ticket for the civic election. After that I joined the Hindu Mahasabha and won the election. But then I thought it didn’t fit his theory. So I got back to Congress.
I was a congressman by birth. I left the party after being denied a party ticket for the municipal election. I belong to the Hindu Congress, contested elections and won. Later, I realized that I did not fit his theory: Gwalior corporator Babulal Chaurasia pic.twitter.com/JEAnSrTgJV
