Now you are not afraid to leak your WhatsApp chats. Soon your WhatsApp chats will be more secure than ever. The popular instant messaging app WhatsApp is working on a new feature that encrypts chat backups saved online. According to the WABetaInfo report, this feature is currently being tested in the latest Android beta version of WhatsApp.
The new feature works like this
In fact, chats done in WhatsApp come with end-to-end encryption, but after backing up the chat, it is not encrypted. In that case, WhatsApp will now implement end-to-end encryption in chat backups. According to the report, the new feature securely backs up your chat history and media files.

With the new feature, you also need to take some precautions. After the new feature is introduced to all users, you will need to set a password to restore the chat backup. In that case, if you lose your phone or forget your password, you won’t get this backup. You can also optionally create a 64-digit encryption key, but the chat backup will still be lost if you lose that key.

The chat has been stolen this way
In fact, most people save their WhatsApp chats on Google Drive or iCloud. After logging into your WhatsApp account on the new phone, you will get back the old chats with this backup. But if for some reason your Gmail or iCloud account is hacked, hackers can also get your chat backup. This way your chat is in danger of being leaked.
