Petrol and diesel rates will thus be increased
Once excise duty, dealer commission and other items are added to the price of petrol and diesel, its price will double. Diesel and petrol rates may be around Rs 27 per liter, excluding central government excise and VAT, but neither the central nor the state government can remove the tax at any cost. Because the bulk of the revenue comes from here. This money leads to growth. Explaining that Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in his written reply to the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday said that the central government’s excise share in petrol prices in Delhi is Rs 32.98. At the same time, the state government’s share of sales tax or value added tax (VAT) is Rs 19.55.
