PM Modi will launch a number of development projects in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Tamil Nadu and Puducherry on Thursday. Here he will inaugurate several development programs. According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the NH45-A – 56km / hr winds around 11:30 pm.

Following the political turmoil in Puducherry, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is making the rounds ahead of the upcoming assembly elections. This time PM Modi will inaugurate the foundation of various projects. He will also speak at a rally organized by the BJP. After Puducherry BJP President Swaminathan reached Puducherry at 10.30 am, the Prime Minister will directly reach the Jawaharlal Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, where he will lay the foundation for various central projects.

Puducherry BJP president Swaminathan said that the prime minister would address a public meeting later. This is the Prime Minister’s second visit to Puducherry in the last three years. Earlier in 2018, he visited the Auroville International Project in nearby Villupuram district and addressed a public meeting.

Here, according to a press release at 4 pm in Tamil Nadu, PM Modi will dedicate the nation to Naiveli’s new thermal power project. “It is a lignite-based power plant designed for 1000 MW of power and has two units of 500 MW capacity. The Pitt Head power plant, built at a cost of about Rs 8,000 crore, uses lignite as fuel.

Mines in Niveli have sufficient lignite reserves to meet the project’s lifetime requirement. The power generated by the plant will benefit Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Puducherry.
