PSL 2021: Shaheen Afridi tweeted this clarification on his clash with Sarfaraz Ahmed

Former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed and left-arm pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi had a heated argument during a PSL match between Lahore Khalanders and Quetta Gladiators in Abu Dhabi. The umpires were forced to separate Lahore captain Sohail Akhtar and senior batsman Mohammad Hafeez. Now when Shaheen Shah Afridi tweeted about this, Sarfaraz Ahmed asked him to forget the incident.

Shaheen Shah Afridi tweeted on Thursday, ‘Safi Bhai (Sarfaraz Ahmed) is proud of all of us. He was and always has been a hero to me. Everything that happened in the game that day was hot in that moment. I have to be silent about it. I always respect my elders and offer my prayers and best wishes to Sarfaraz Bhai. Sarfaraz Ahmad replied to Shaheen Shah Afridi’s tweet, “Everybody is fine. Whatever happens in the field, stay in the field” You too are a star Pakistan. May Allah grant you greater success in life. You are my younger brother.

Notably, when Afridi’s bouncer hit Sarfaraz’s helmet in the 19th over of the Quetta innings, the umpire called it no ball. Here the ball hit the helmet and went to a third person and got the Sarfaraz run. After reaching the other end, Afridi said something. Afridi was angry with him and he aggressively went to his side with his run-up. The umpire had to intervene to see the tensions increase. Hafeez and Akhtar also came to him. The Gladiators defeated Lahore by 18 runs in the match.
