PSSB appoints school librarians 2021: Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board (PSSSB) has issued a notification for the appointment of 750 posts of librarians in the education department. Board Chair Raman Bahl approved the process of appointing 2280 posts at a board meeting on March 25, which was approved by school librarians of the Department of Education as a first step. From April 5, 750 posts will be filled. The deadline to apply is April 26 and the fee can be credited by April 29.
Qualification
12th Pass. And a two-year diploma in library science.
Age limit
General – 18 to 37 years
Reserved classes will be allowed to rest in the maximum age limit as per the rule of the state government

Bahl said most of the vacancies will soon be advertised by the board under the government’s home-to-home employment policy. This includes Ward and Matron’s 847 posts in the jail department, about 199 posts of law clerks in various departments of the Punjab government, 56 posts of the top Industrial Development Officer in the Department of Industry and Commerce, and 61 posts of Block-level Extension Officer in Excise and Taxation. Apart from the 51 posts of Inspector, there are 120 posts of technical assistant posts in the Punjab warehouse, 112 posts of supervisors and 27 fisheries officer posts in the social security department.
Bahl said the tests would be completed transparently on behalf of the board with the help of modern technology such as jammer, biometric, videography and the appointment would be done only on merit.
