Rajasthan IPS officer arrested for bribe

IPS officer Manish Agarwal has been arrested in Rajasthan. ACB general director BL Soni said, “Agarwal has been arrested today for corruption prevention. His residence is currently being searched.

2010 batch IPS officer Manish Agarwal is accused of soliciting a bribe while serving as a police officer in the Dauza district. The corruption squad has recently arrested petrol pump owner Neeraj Meena. Neeraj Meena was paid a monthly bond of Rs four lakh by a contractor working on the National Highway in Dausa. Instead of clearing cases filed against these contractors, Mina was charging.

After Neeraj Meena’s arrest, the corruption squad came to trial and it was revealed that he wanted to collect this recovery from then-Dausa Police Superintendent Manish Agarwal. As the investigation progresses, it is learned that Neeraj Meena made a total of Rs 38 lakh. The corruption squad first seized the mobile phone of IPS Manish Aggarwal and unlocked it after receiving strong information and evidence of the involvement of the IPS in the case.
