Tis Hazari court has sent another 7-day police remand to Punjab actor Deepu Sidhu, who was arrested in connection with the violence at the Red Fort during a farmers’ tractor parade in the capital, Delhi on January 26. Prior to his arrest, Sidhu was produced in court on February 9 after his arrest, until Sidhu was sent on a 7-day police remand. It can be noted that Deep Sidhu was arrested by Delhi Police Special Cell near Karnal Bypass, Haryana on the night of February 8.
Delhi Police on Saturday took Deep Sidhu and another accused Iqbal Singh to the Red Fort to investigate the matter. According to police, Sidhu was mainly responsible for the violence and chaos that took place in the Red Fort on January 26.
