Finally, after a long wait, the country’s leading performance bike maker, Royal Enfield, will unveil its next-generation model, the best-selling bike classic 350. According to media reports, the company could release the bike for sale on August 31st. Unauthorized booking of this bike has been initiated in some dealerships across the country.
Although this bike is completely based on its traditional design, some minor changes have been made to it. It gets retro-style circular headlamps, chrome bezels, chrome-plated exhaust (silencer), round shape rear view mirror, fuel tank in the shape of a tear drop and attractive fenders. Its side panels and fuel tank also get C-shaped graphics, but new strips can be found in the fenders.
The bike is based on the company’s new “J” modular architecture, on which the company’s recently introduced Meteor 350 is built. The bike is said to have added a balancer shaft to reduce vibration, which makes the driving experience even better.
On this bike, the company is using a 349cc capacity new fuel injection engine that produces 20.2bhp of power and 27Nm of torque. This engine comes with a 5 speed gearbox. The new Royal Enfield Classic 350 will be offered with 19-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels with spocked rims. Tubeless alloy wheels can be found in the top end variant.
The new Classic 350 will be available in single and dual seat options. It has midset footpeg and an ergonomically shaped handlebar. In addition, it receives a semi-digital instrument console, which includes both an analog speedometer and a digital display. The most important thing is that this bike is equipped with a tripper navigation system. It is believed that its price may be slightly higher than the current model.
