Butt and his teammates Mohammed Asif and Mohammed Amir were sentenced to life in prison after being found guilty of a 2010 spot-fixing scandal. Butt was banned for 10 years, Asif for 7 and Amir for 5 years. But then, Asif’s ban was reduced to 5 years. After this incident, Salman Butt’s cricket career is almost over and he can never play for the national team. Butt has recently appeared as a cricket expert on his YouTube channel.
