The first Test match between India and England ended in a draw and now both teams are preparing for the second Test. The match will be held at Lord’s Ground from August 12th. Prior to the start of the match, Sanjay Manjrekar, who plays the role of former Indian cricketer and current critic, was selected India’s Playing XI. Surprisingly, Manjrekar did not include Ravindra Jadeja, who scored a brilliant 56 with the bat at Nottingham. Manjrekar has selected only four bowlers in his squad.

After losing the toss in the first Test against England, Virat Kohli has played a total of five bowlers, including four fast bowlers, but Manjrekar has selected only three fast bowlers. In addition, as a spinner, he has allowed R Ashwin to replace Jadeja. Manjrekar has added an additional batsman to the team, replacing fast bowler Ishant Sharma in the form of Hanuma Vihara. With the exception of Jadeja and Ishant, Manjrekar retains all the players involved in the first game.

As the match was drawn, both teams scored four points each in terms of the World Test Championship points system.
