After a change in the rules of the World Test Championships, the road to the final for India was very difficult. However, the team first defeated Australia in their home Test series, after which England’s dominant team was beaten 3–1 in their home Test series and secured a ticket to the final. India has announced its playing XI for the final of the World Test Championships. Veteran bowler Ishant Sharma has been preferred over Siraj in the team. Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin have joined the playing XI.
