Shams Mulani captained the Mumbai cricket team for the Ooms tour

Left-arm spinner Shams Mulani will captain the 14-member Mumbai cricket team for three T20s and the same number of 50 overs in the Oman tour. Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) announced the team for the tour on its website on Monday. Since his debut against Railways, Mulani has played 10 matches in first class cricket, taking 28 wickets and scoring 965 runs.

All-rounder Shivam Dubey has played in One Day Internationals and 13 T20 Internationals and has represented the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League for the young Jaiswal, a successful young Premier. PTI had earlier reported that Oman Cricket (OC) invited Indian domestic cricket’s most successful team to play T20 in Mumbai before the T20 World Cup. The T20 World Cup will be held from October 17 to November 14 in Oman and the United Arab Emirates.

The team will arrive in Oman on August 19 and return from there on September 3, an MCA official said. Mumbai has already appointed domestic legend Amol Majumdar as the team’s coach for the upcoming domestic forum.
