Shoaib Akhtar chose his all-time ODI XI, adding these veterans

Shoaib Akhtar, formerly known as Pakistan’s fastest bowler and ‘Rawalpindi Express’, has chosen his all-time XI. He has selected some of the most famous players in the cricket world. Akhtar has replaced West Indies cricketer Gordon Greenidge and master blaster Sachin Tendulkar as the opening pair. However, it is little surprise that the defending Indian captain Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers are missing in the squad.

John Glass, who had to score 35 in the last over to win the title, hit six sixes in his six overs to give the team a memorable win.

Akhtar is ranked third and fourth in his squad for former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq and Saeed Anwar. These two players have been instrumental in winning big wins by creating many outstanding records for the team in their time. The fifth-ranked Akhtar has selected India’s most successful captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Akhtar has been chosen as the wicketkeeper of the squad for the Australian cricketer Adam Gilchrist.

Akhtar has picked former India batsman Yuvraj Singh at number seven. Though Yuvraj played very little in this number. People recall that Yuvraj hit six sixes in the same over of Stuart Broad at the 2007 T20 World Cup. Talking about the bowling department of the team, Akhtar has focused on his teammates here. He has selected two great bowlers in the form of Walker Younis and Wasim Akram. He has been selected as the third fastest bowler in the world, Kapil Dev, one of the best all-rounders in the world. Kangaroo legend Shane Warne has been named the team’s only spinner.
