The South African cricket team will visit Pakistan in January-February next year to play two Tests and three T20s. South Africa will visit Pakistan after a long gap of 14 years. South Africa has been visiting Pakistan since 2007. The team will reach Karachi on January 16 and will be part of the first Test match to begin on January 26 at the National Stadium.

Cricket South Africa (CSA) Director Graeme Smith said it was a pleasure to visit Pakistan, where many of the cricketing countries are playing. CSA is happy to be included in the list of those countries. I have visited Pakistan more than once as a player and I know about the love and support of South Africans as a cricket team rather than the excitement and passion for the game of Pakistanis.
The second Test between the two teams will be played on February 4 at Rawalpindi. The series is part of the ICC Test Championship. After the Test series, South Africa will play the T20 series for the first time in Pakistan and all three matches will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
