Stock market: Sensex closed with gains at 54,402, Nifty also rose

Stock Markets Close: The stock market closed today with force. On Monday, the first day of the week, BSE 30-stock Sensex closed at Rs 54,402.85, up 125.13 points. At the same time, the NSE Nifty closed 20.05 (0.12%) higher at 16,258.25. At this time, 23 stocks in the Nifty 50 were closed in green and 27 in red. On the other hand, the Sensex closed with 13 losses and 17 gains.

If we talk about Nifty Top Gainer, Mahindra & Mahindra 2.23, Tech Mahindra 1.93, Axis Bank 1.86, Bajaj FinServe 1.57 and IndusInd Bank jumped 1.31%. Tata Consumer, Coal India, Adani Ports, Bharti Airtel and SBI were the losers. On the other hand, the Bank Nifty surged 219 points and the Nifty Financial Services gained 66 points today. Nifty mid-cap and small-cap indices also closed in red today.

If we talk about sector indices other than Nifty Oil & Gas, Consumer Durables, Auto, Metal, PSU Bank, and Realty, IT, Media, Pharma, Nifty Bank, Nifty Financial Services, Private Bank etc. are closed with profit.

MRF net profit increased 12-fold in Q1

Tire company MRF on Monday said its consolidated net profit rose 12 times to Rs 166 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2021. The company posted a net profit of Rs. 13 crore in the April-June quarter. Operating income for the first quarter increased to Rs 4,184 crore from Rs 2,461 crore in the same quarter of 2020-21, MRF told the Stock Exchange.

The stock market started with profit today. The 30-stocks key index of the BSE, the Sensex, opened 107.99 points higher on Monday at 54,385.71. At the same time, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange also opened at 16,281.35. In the early trade, the Sensex was trading at Rs 54,482.30 with a rise of 204.58 points, while the Nifty was up 64.10 points at 16,302.30. Tech Mahindra, HCLTech, Infosys, Wipro and UltraTech are top giants in the Nifty. On the other hand, ONGC, Hindalco, Tata Consumer, Reliance and Bajaj Finance had stakes in losses.
