Strict government behavior, Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp or anyone, there is strong action on wrongdoing

IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said on Thursday that the double standard is not allowed for social media platforms. During the questioning, the minister said, “Whether it is Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn or WhatsApp, these platforms will be implemented if they do this.”

Let us tell you, on January 26, the government announced on a social media platform that violence in the capital should be closed on the ongoing Twitter accounts against Khalistan and Pakistan-backed India. In this case, the government had warned against taking action under Section 69A (3) of the IT Act. Speaking on the issue, IT Minister Ravishankar Prasad said, “All media outlets are familiar with the hardline attitude of the Indian government.

“Work in India. You have millions of followers here. Make money but you have to follow Indian law and the Constitution,” the minister said.

“We have now given Twitter a green signal. Our department is in talks with Twitter. That is why I do not want to comment on this issue. The Red Fort is a symbol of our pride. We don’t allow it. The double standard. What is it? Are you in the holocaust trend? ”

“We value social media very much. It empowers the general public. Social media has a big role in the Digital India program. However, if social media is misused to spread fake news, it will be processed,” the minister said.
