A video of the incident has been posted on the technical channel YouTube Technical. The video shows that the phone was damaged after the explosion. The lower part of the back of the phone is owned. The incident is believed to have been caused by a phone battery.

According to the video, the incident happened with an auto driver in Delhi. They bought a new Oppo smartphone a few months ago. Recently, he kept the phone in his pocket while coming home by auto. According to the person, the smoke suddenly started to rise from the phone. When he tried to get the phone out, his hand also burned and the auto too lost its balance. Because of the auto fall, both of his legs suffered a lot. The man also showed off his burnt pants and handkerchief.

According to the video, the person purchased the Oppo A53 device in August 2020. That means the smartphone is still under warranty. Users said they only used the phone to browse the Internet and make calls. According to the user, they were charging this oppo phone only from the company’s charger.
