Sunil Gavaskar complains to BCCI president Sourav Ganguly, says – Mishti Doi and Rasagulla do not feed

India’s greatest batsman Sunil Gavaskar is upset over BCCI president Sourav Ganguly. Now you must be thinking that Gavaskar should have been angry at Ganguly over some cricketing issue. So let us tell you that cricket is not the cause of the wrath of the former India captain, but Gavaskar was angry with Ganguly for not feeding Kolkata’s famous sweets like Rasagulla and Mishti Doi and he played Saurav Ganguly in a show. Former batsman Sunil Gavaskar recalled his old days by speaking at the Sony Sports Show. He said, ‘When I was going to Kolkata, I always ate mishti doi. When I was the captain of the Indian team, Sourav Ganguly’s father, then the secretary of the Bengal cricket team, was coming to pick him up at the airport. He then handed me a large package of mint doe in the hotel fridge. We had eight days to play the Test match at the time and they were bringing the rasagulla with Mishti Doi. Gavaskar was accompanied by Virender Sehwag.

Then Gavaskar complained to Ganguly and jokingly said, ‘I have only one complaint. In his talk with Gavaskar, Sehwag appealed to Ganguly and told him that the next time he comes to Kolkata, he should arrange a Mishti Doi and Rasagulla.
