Sunrisers Hyderabad Kovid-19 positive, eclipse augmentation of IPL 2021

Sunrisers Hyderabad wicketkeeper batsman Wriddhiman was also positive in the Kovid-19 Test. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to suspend IPL 2021 for a while after returning positively from the Kovid-19 Test. BCCI vice president Rajeev Shukla told ANI that the IPCL 2021 is currently suspended and the tournament has not been canceled and it remains to be seen when the remaining matches will be played.

On Monday, Varun Chakraborty and Sandeep Warrior of the Kolkata Knight Riders were positive in the Kovid-19 Test. Moreover, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) bowling coach Laxmipati Balaji’s Kovid-19 Test report was positive on Monday. The match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians will take place in the IPL today. The match was played at 7:30 pm in Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium.

IPL has been suspended indefinitely after several cases of Kovid-19 were found in the biological bubble. IPL president Brijesh Patel told PTI, ‘The tournament has been halted indefinitely. We will try to organize this tournament in the next year but not this month.
