Swachh Survekshan was launched by PM Modi in 2016. In that edition of the survey Mysore was selected as the Swachh City of India. Swachh Survekshan 2021: A Look At How Cities Will Be Assessed This Year

It’s the time of year again when cities across India are assessed based on their swatch factor. From sanitation to waste management and monitoring of basic Swachh Survekshan and hygiene levels in the regions, the municipal corporation of all cities is doing their best to earn the title of ‘Swachh Survekshan’ in India. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) has announced the rollout of Swachve Survey 2021 across India and the assessment is scheduled for March 1 to March 31.

Last year, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MOHUA) introduced the Swachch Sarvekhshan (SS) League as part of the SS League, with a view to sustaining cities’ underground performance and efforts and continuously monitoring service level progress. The History Of Swachh Survekshan
