‘Tandava’, created in Saif Ali Khan’s web series, Kapil Mishra sent legal notice to Amazon Prime Video

Saif Ali Khan’s web series ‘Thandawa’ has been embroiled in controversy. BJP leader demanded removal of ‘Tandava’ from their platform. Failure to do so will incite criminal action.

The Information Ministry on Sunday called on Amazon Prime Video officials amid demands that the various organizations, including the BJP leader, be banned. The ministry asked Amazon Prime Video to answer by Monday. BJP MLA Ram Kadam has lodged a complaint at the Ghatkopar police station against his makers claiming he insulted Hindu gods in a web series. After filing a complaint, Ram Kadam said, “Strict action should be taken against the actor, director and producer of the web series.”

A ministry source said, “The ministry has been made aware of this (grievances) and asked for an Amazon Prime video for clarification.” Kotak, an MP from the north-east of Mumbai, has accused such forums of misrepresenting Hindu deities. Various organizations and individuals have complained that the Hindu god and goddess has been mocked in the ‘Thandava’ web series.
