Kushwaha voters are also in good numbers in this area. The MLAs who won here since 1967 have been coming from the Yadav community. However, after the delimitation of 2010, this seat has been occupied by JD U for two consecutive times. Rajkumar Rai, who hails from the Yadav community, has been winning the last two elections here. This time he is standing up against Tej Pratap.
