Telugu actress Vijayashanti shook hands with the BJP and met Amit Shah

Renowned Telugu actress and former Telangana MP M Vijayashanti joined the BJP on Monday. He had met Union Home Minister Amit Shah a day earlier, amid rumors that he would soon join the BJP. Prior to that, Vijayashanti was in Congress, where he joined the party in 2014.

After meeting Amit Shah, BJP leader in Telangana, G Vivek Venkataswamy, said, “BJP will definitely win the next assembly elections in Telangana.” Vijayashanti Ji will play a key role in the party’s decisions in the state. ”

Vijayashanti began his political journey from the BJP

Vijayashanti began his political journey with the BJP. He first joined the BJP in 1998. He was made Secretary of the Mahila Morcha. Subsequently, during the Telangana Movement, he resigned and formed his own party. However, in 2009, he merged his party with the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS). He was also elected to the Lok Sabha in the same year. After this, in 2014, he left the TRS and joined the Congress.
