Country’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki is set to launch its new off-roading SUV, the gymnasium in the Indian market. As the company prepares to introduce its long version (5 Door) to the Indian market, the company has also announced its new light model. As the name suggests, this new version has some limited features and is less expensive.
According to media reports, the new Jimmy Lite will be introduced to the Australian market. The company will make it in Japan and be sold in the Australian market. The new light trim will be placed below the standard model in the Australian market. It is exported from Japan and marketed here.
What Changes:
The company makes some changes to the Gimney Light so that it can be affordable. According to information, black dip steel wheels can be replaced with alloy wheels. In addition, Suzuki’s traditional 2-DIN audio system will be offered instead of the SmartPlay infotainment system. It can also remove its projector headlamp and fog lamp, keeping in mind the price.
The company does not make any changes to this light version engine. It will be powered by a 1.5 liter petrol engine that produces 102bhp. This engine will have a four wheel drive system. The SUV is expected to be available for sale in the Australian market by August.
As for the introduction of the Suzuki Jimmy Lite in the Indian market, no information about this has been officially shared. Currently, the company is working on a 5-door version of the gym for the Indian market. Recently, Shashank Srivastava, executive director of sales and marketing at Maruti Suzuki India, said, “We are working on marketing and launching this SUV.”
